Today I want to talk about the self-sabotaging behaviors that we as realtors and designers have that is keeping up with earning consistent money. I really wanted to talk about this subject because it’s the biggest challenge I have with some of my clientsand at one point I was thinking that money did not like me and that I could not keep the money as well!
We all do it. No matter how successful we are, at one time or another, you’ll fall into the self-sabotage trap, and the price of admission is high.
So what happens,
And the end result?
Frustration.
Burnout.
Resentment towards your clients and your business. It feels equal to buyers remorse.
This what I call self-sabotaging behaviors. This downward spiral almost all the time turns devastating, but there are ways to stopping it once you learn to recognize the symptoms.
*SO WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?
I want to focus on Procrastination
So for example,
You meant to follow up with a high-end client but by the time you got home it was too late or you forgot? Or you were going to send that offer for you buyers, but waited too long? or it could be some so simple as you simply waited too long to take advantage of a sale price on a hot new app that everyone’s raving about.
These and other missed opportunities can often be blamed on simple procrastination, one of the most destructive habits we suffer from.
Procrastination is what keeps us working late at night to make a deadline, costs us money in late fees, and even costs us business. If you’re prone to procrastination, I have 3 these techniques I use to put an end to my procrastination and I want you to try it:
Failing to Complete Your Projects in your life only delays your success!
*Be honest right now. How many half-finished tasks are on your list right now?
*How many partially planned marketing plans and promotions have you started.
*Where are they are they are they cluttering up your hard drive right now?
*If you’re like a lot of realtors and designers, the answer is probably several.
*You started all of them with great enthusiasm.
*You planned out, created the rough draft, and maybe even outlined the sales funnel. And then…you just stopped working on it.
*Maybe you tell yourself that you’re too busy.
Maybe you “need to do some more research” or maybe you simply lost interest. But the truth is, none of those are the real reason.
For a lot of you, this self-sabotaging habit is actually a symptom of a lack of confidence, and it’s keeping you from the success you deserve. So Consider this: You cannot know the actual success rate of a something in your business if you’ve never finished, and you cannot improve upon something you’ve never completed.
So rather than filling your hard drive with half-finished projects, power through and start releasing them—even if you believe they’re not perfect, and even if you think they’ll never make you money.
